Unlike most of my colleagues, I am new to All Saints’ and the Lutheran Faith. After attending some of the WELCA Gatherings and Women’s Retreats, I realized God was calling me to attend services at All Saints’ and become a part of their church community. I was not raised in a church-going household and always felt like something was missing from my life. After a long list of unhappiness in my life, I realized that God was always watching over me, trying to guide me, and pushing me forward! I am now married to an awesome man, Christopher and we have 3 children, the only kid that still lives at home is Flurry my mini-poodle! This is my third year on the council; I have really enjoyed the challenges and fellowship. I am involved with the Des Moines Library, where I have been the president of their “Friends” Group for almost 12 years. I am an advocate for early literacy; you are your child’s first teacher! My husband and I are involved in some businesses together, primarily commercial fishing in the Bering Sea. I love reading, enjoy yard work, and traveling, and the fellowship I feel with All Saints’ Lutheran Church.

I have been a part of the All Saints’ family for as long as I can remember! My family became members in 1987 and have been here ever since. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2009 with a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in printing and publishing arts. I now work for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound in Tacoma as the Program Marketing Coordinator. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, practicing yoga, learning about the latest marketing strategies, and discovering new music.

My wife Doris and I are charter members of All Saints’, having joined when it was a Mission Congregation in 1960. I graduated from Everett Community College in 1954 with an Associate Arts degree in Industrial Design. I served in the US Army for two years and entered the University of Washington in September of 1956. I received a BS in Aeronautical Engineering and a MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1959 and 1964 respectively. I joined The Boeing Company in 1959 and worked as an Engineer in Dynamics and Loads in the Structures Technology Area.
I met Doris, who’s a native of Minnesota, in 1956, and we married in 1958. We have two sons and one granddaughter. I retired early from Boeing to concentrate on promoting a home business, “Rhymes and Router Art”, where I craft personalized oak plaques and cedar signs and write poetry to “roast” people. I’ve sung in choirs and men’s groups at All Saints’ for many years.

Like other members of the leadership team I have a long association with All Saints'. My family first worshiped at All Saints' in 1967, and I served as the youth member of the church council in the mid-1970s. Over the years I was active in other Lutheran congregations as life took me to other places, but I returned to All Saints' because it feels like home. I have spent more than 25 years in the field of automated data collection systems and software, the last nine years as Senior Technical Writer and Mobile Computing Specialist at Fulcrum Technologies in Seattle. In my free time I enjoy reading, gardening, sewing and participating in the fellowship and spiritual life of All Saints'.

I became a member of All Saints’ on December 12, 1999, on the date of my Baptism. About four years later I brought my spiritual gifts to the Support Committee by taking on the role of budget guru. During that time frame I also became involved in All Saints' music ministry by participating in the Celebration Singers and the Praise Band.
I'm a lifelong resident of South King County except for service in the United States Marine Corps. I graduated from Central Washington University in 1983 with a degree in accounting, subsequently becoming a CPA. Professionally I've been with Group Health Cooperative since 1979, my title is Associate Director of Finance Operations.
My "relaxation interests" include running, bicycling, music (I do own a few guitars!) and spending time with my wife Debi.

I became a part of the All Saints’ Family in 1994. As life’s journey took me away I left All Saints’ only to come back because this is home. My daughter was baptized at All Saints’ and took some of her first steps here. I choose to count the blessings we are given and the community of disciples at All Saints’ is one of the best blessings. My gifts have led me to be a part of Worship and Music committee, Stewardship committee and I have been blessed to sing with the Joyful Noise choir and the Praise Team.
I work as a coordinator for HeartWarming Care – an in-home care agency for seniors and volunteer as much as I can with veterans and our soldiers. I am blessed to be married to my best friend, we have an amazing daughter. Add to that two crazy dogs, one stubborn cat and a goldfish - our life is full of noise and laughter. We enjoy spending time together with family and friends, traveling, watching movies and watching our daughter dance. My life is blessed and I thank God for it daily.

I am a retired Boeing engineer and project manager who has lived in the Star Lake neighborhood practically all my life. My wife Myrna likewise grew up here and we both graduated from Federal Way High School (1952 and 1954). We were married in 1957, went away several years for my service in the US Army, and then returned back home. We had friends and relatives who were All Saints’ members ever since the Church's founding, but our personal involvement began in 2001, becoming members in 2005. Our three grown-up children have blessed us with seven wonderful grandchildren, who you might say have become our favorite hobby. We also enjoy getting away on short trips and being involved with music - Myrna as a vocalist and I on the piano/organ. I started serving on the Council in 2010 and hope to be able to make a positive contribution toward the future of this fine congregation.

Karen and I joined All Saints in 1993, when our son Adam was 3 years old and ready to start Sunday School. We were actively involved in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Seattle, before moving to the Star Lake area from the Fremont neighborhood in 1990. We met at Pacific Lutheran University, graduated from PLU in the late 1970s, and were married in 1980. My father is a retired Lutheran pastor, so I grew up in the Lutheran church.
I served 3 years on the Council of All Saints in the late 1990s, and Karen and I also led a small group for parents of young children for several years. For the past 10 years I have been involved as an adult leader of the Boy Scout Troop sponsored by All Saints, Troop 237, and have been the Scoutmaster for the past 3 years.
Adam is now 21, an Eagle Scout, and a student at the University of Washington. Our son Nathan is 17, plays baseball, and attends Thomas Jefferson High School in Auburn. Much of my spare time is spent on Scouting outings or at Nathan’s baseball games. Karen and I enjoy hiking, camping, visiting National Parks, and being around water and beaches. We are fortunate to have a family cabin on Hood Canal, where we like to spend our summer weekends.
