A Poem For Bob
The news came last Monday,
from West to East,
You left this earth,
suddenly , no warning,
Like a sweet melody that
lingers when the
song has already ended.
This can't be real.
Your voice warmly sings in our
ears and still smells of
hot apple cider.
Your song carries
through the ol' wind chimes' ring
and by the birds softly chirping
at dawn.
News came Monday:
your song lives in us now.
